A trip along the Garden Route, either individually or with a guide.

The Garden Route is undoubtedly the most diverse region in South Africa in terms of landscapes. It boasts charming towns and villages. A stay on the Garden Route will introduce you to the semi-desert Karoo region, famous for its ostrich farms, the Knysna Lagoon on the Indian Ocean, and the primeval forests of Wilderness and Tsitsikamma. We've selected small, charming hotels to allow you to end each stage in comfort and unique experiences. This tailor-made 5-day stay can be extended with safaris in the Addo Wildlife Park and exploration of the Cape Town area.

The Karoo

The semi- desert region of the Little Karoo is located in the Western Cape province and stretches between two mountain ranges. It boasts arid landscapes, but also fruit crops. In this region you can visit the historic hot spring village of Montagu, taste Calitzsdorp port, or visit an ostrich farm.

The most remarkable will be the wide open spaces of Route 62 with its breathtaking landscapes!

The Wilderness

At the foot of the Oteniqua Mountain Range, which separates the Karoo region from the Indian Ocean, lies a stunning natural paradise. Protected by national parks, this ecosystem, including rivers, lakes, native forests, and wild beaches, is home to unique biodiversity. You can hike in the park or canoe at the river mouth to experience this exceptional natural environment.

Knysna

The village of Knysna consists of several islands connected by bridges across a natural lagoon. The peaceful atmosphere of this South African seaside resort is an ideal place to relax and explore the protected natural sites that surround it.

In Knysna, you can taste the region's oysters, take a sailing cruise on the lagoon, and enjoy the many beaches for walking or swimming.

Tsitsikamma

The Tsitsikamma Rainforest is the largest in the country, boasting centuries-old trees and exceptional biodiversity, including the famous multi-colored Knysna Loerie. In Tsitskamma, you can visit its national park on the Indian Ocean, where dolphins and whales are often spotted. Take a walk to the suspension bridge or watch the enormous waves crashing against the rocks along the coast.
